Kesevan Veloo
Research Associate
Kesevan Veloo is a Fulbright scholar from Malaysia with a Master’s in Biological and Agricultural Engineering from Washington State University and a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology. With expertise in AI, IoT, robotics, and data-driven solutions, Kesevan has advanced sustainable agriculture through projects on sensor systems, autonomous robotics, and mobile apps for crop monitoring and field management.
At WSU, Kesevan directed initiatives in data analytics and sensor integration for agricultural systems, showcasing his work at leading international conferences. His commitment to interdisciplinary knowledge-sharing includes mentoring undergraduate research teams in sensor technology and guest lecturing on phenomics. Formerly a Content Program Manager for the Hult Prize Foundation, Kesevan developed a globally recognized course on pitching for social enterprises, reaching thousands and advancing social entrepreneurship education. His current project is related to Ag Automation.
